An army green jacket is a wardrobe staple that can be worn nearly all year round. How does my military-inspired jacket stand out? With lace appliques, of course. This jacket by Veronica Beard is like no other khaki jacket in stores. It has a feminine flair with a cinched waist, bow belt, lace shoulders, and black pocket details. It remains inherently masculine, though, with its classic military nature and color.
One of my favorite parts about traveling is being able to dress for the new landscapes around me. When I was recently in St. Barth’s, I gathered inspiration from the rolling seaside and vibrant colors to create new looks of my own. I couldn’t imagine a more beautiful, eclectic area to enjoy some time away from the city.
There’s an art to mixing patterns and prints. By now, you’ve seen me in stripes, polkadots, gingham, florals, and numerous textures. In order to wear these kinds of prints successfully, I mix and match to create new looks every single day. The key formula to creating successful mixed print ensembles is pairing a micro and macro pattern together, and completing the outfit with solid blocks of color.
