A New Nautical…

One of the easiest means of outfit inspiration is traveling. I’ve always thought that, and my recent trip to Newport proves no differently. A very special place to my heart, I make the trip to Newport annually and love every minute from start to finish.  The seaside town is home to neon sail boats, incredible  mansions with jaw-dropping facades available for touring, and melt-in-your-mouth lobster rolls among other mind-blowing seafood. I’m taken with this nautical town’s historic sites, memorable restaurants, and scene views alike. There’s no shortage of inspiration. And I love the opportunity to put my vibrant statement twist into traditional beach town ensembles.

Billowy Boho…

How wonderful it is to be home for a while after weeks of traveling. Just like my home is cozy, comfortable, and familiar, those feelings were the inspiration for this week’s look. While I’m all about trying new things, it’s called signature style for a reason. My ’70s-inspired boho look is unmistakably my own with wide leg jeans, an embroidered balloon sleeve blouse, and a unique handbag that I brought back from my last trip to Mexico.

Golden Gate City… part II

Ah, San Francisco.

Such an amazing trip, here’s part two!  The showstopping architecture and luscious scenery made for an incredible case of sensory overload (in the best way.) Each day, my outfit was inspired by something different and new in the metropolitan city. This time around, it was the iconic Golden Gate Bridge that had me in awe. Recently, I took a trip to San Francisco where I enjoyed architecture, sunshine, and West Coast style alike. Since I was working while in the city, I knew I needed to bring along some of my tried and true business casual staples. Without shopping for new pieces, I challenged myself to do what I encourage my clients to do all the time: mix and match pieces that are already in your wardrobe to create new and interesting looks. It’s actually much easier than it may seem!
