One of my favorite pastimes is shopping for vintage clothing. I love the hunt, the scouring and the digging through racks of stuff for that perfect gem or two that will translate well into today’s fashion palate.

And thanks to my dear friend Karen at Vintage Virtuosa (www.vintagevirtuosa.com), I added a few new fabulous pieces to my collection….and by new I mean old!  The skirt is Christian Lacroix circa 1982. Christian lacroix is a French fashion designer best known for opulent fantasy creations, bold prints, and “le pouf,” a short ball skirt. This flirty skirt with saturated colors and his signature bold print sums up spring for me! I paired it back to a basic tee and denim jacket with a ruffle detail.

The accessories: A vintage Napier necklace, chosen for its color and pattern, also from Vintage Virtuosa; a well worn soft leather clutch, vintage looking, but of more recent provenance; and wedges by Sophia Webster…Sophia Webster is a newcomer to the fashion scene, and launched her cheerful, whimsical footwear line in 2012.HT3A9590HT3A9642

Skirt – Vintage Christian Lacroix

Tee – JCrew

Denim Jacket – (similar here)

Necklace – Napier

Clutch – Anthropologie

Shoes – Sophia Webster

Oh wow Tina, you look spectacular. The mixing of patterns and textures with the vibrant colors is absolute perfection. I am thrilled that many of my most coveted pieces are in your closet and on your bod where they belong. Thank you my friend, xoxo!
