This particular shoot was taken on the beautiful island of Anguilla at the Viceroy Hotel. We chose this location specifically because its’ interior design was created by Kelly Weartsler, a favorite of mine and a constant source of inspiration for me. Her signature style juxtaposes raw with refined, and she bridges glamour with contemporary maximalism with both her interior design and her fashion aesthetic.
Today’s outfit was inspired by the stark interiors of this hotel, and the beautiful white sand beaches that surround it.
The focal point of this outfit was obviously the skirt….a calf-length pencil style which adds clean lines for a modern edge, while the off-center vented slit adds a hint of playfulness. I kept it simple with a slouchy T shirt and then “neutralized” the whiteness with a tan shrug and heels. I also inserted some texture by adding a chunky coral necklace and python clutch.
