Ah, San Francisco.

Such an amazing trip, here’s part two!  The showstopping architecture and luscious scenery made for an incredible case of sensory overload (in the best way.) Each day, my outfit was inspired by something different and new in the metropolitan city. This time around, it was the iconic Golden Gate Bridge that had me in awe. The terracotta color against nature’s background really speaks to me still, even after having returned to New York.

Maybe it was serendipity that I had brought along a similarly-tinted terracotta handbag and heels, or maybe I had the Golden Gate in the corner of my heart whilst packing. Either way, I believe that these accessories channel the exact vibe that I was looking to achieve with this outfit. The playfulness of the circle bag juxtaposed with my grown-up Prada heels create a nice balance that finishes off this successful day-to-evening look. While I was blessed with relatively warm weather throughout the trip, it happened to be breezy and chilly next to the water on this beautiful San Fran morning. Ecstatic to pair a lively hue with the ruddy earth tones of my accessories, I opted for my banana yellow trench from Alice + Olivia — my absolute favorite piece of outerwear in my closet right now. I wasn’t expecting to wear it with the beautiful forecast ahead of me that week, but I’m so glad I brought it. It does act as an homage to the Painted Ladies, after all.

I styled my staple bell bottoms with a funky martini-print blouse for a flirty twist. It wouldn’t be an outfit of mine without some ’70’s-inspired flare, now would it? This ensemble truly channels my signature style. Classic silhouettes, a bright pop of color, and statement accessories! I love that I can wear this out and about for some retail therapy, brunching, and even meeting a client for coffee and a shopping day.  And because comfort is so important to me, I can get away with wearing this all day long and even into the evening. Long-lasting comfort is all about finding clothes that fit you properly that are made in the right materials. Think cotton, silk blends, non-cling jersey, denim with 1-2% spandex/elastine, and softer wool blends.

Materials and styling aside, I value the inspiration from my travels to no end. I cannot wait to see what my next trip has in store, and what kind of inspiration lies ahead.

What I wore;

Jacket, blouse, jeans- Alice + Olivia

Bag- Anthropologie

Shoes- Prada
