If you’ve been keeping up with the most recent blog posts, you’ve seen the gorgeous Alice + Olivia matching separates that I absolutely adore. The armor-inspired crop top can be worn for so many different occasions from a date night to an evening out with the girls.

The grommets and mixed textures are what make this top so distinctive and even though it has short sleeves, the length of the crop gives it just the right balance of cute, trendy and sexy.

We saw how it worked for daytime when worn with the original skirt, so I wanted to show readers how easily it can be changed up by adding a bright color. These red wide-leg trousers (also from Alice+ Olivia) provide the perfect contrast to the black top and the length of the pants help to elongate my legs.

This complete look can easily take me from dinner to dancing without having to change. So remember, don’t be afraid to break up a set of matching silhouettes….you may even be able to turn one perfectly matched look into three equally  amazing outfits!
