Transition wardrobes can be difficult to stock properly. Between winter and spring, you’re looking for pieces to keep you cozy (but not too warm), and bright colors to combat leftover cold and gloomy days. I find that lightweight pieces in floral shades are just the ticket, and can be styles in numerous different ways.

This trench is one of my favorite pieces for spring. The sheen of the material adds a bit of flair to any casual day or nighttime outfit and the duster length creates some drama. I could wear it over a LBD for evening, or over any simple denim/tee/sweater combo for daytime. For this specific look, I’ve layered it over a sleeveless sweater in the same rose-colored family, and paired it all with embroidered jeans. Embroidery is trending everywhere, and it always puts a smile on my face (especially this adorable tropical print)… perfect for the upcoming season!

The ankle strap stilettos pair perfectly with the outfit, elongating my legs and playing up the cropped hemline of the denim. I could also opt for some sleek white sneakers or simple rounded-toe pumps for daytime. However, this shoe’s sparkly cork and gold accents transform this look and make it evening-ready.

What I wore;

Duster- House of cb

Sweater- Alice & Olivia

Jeans- Alice & Olivia

Shoes- Charlotte Olympia
